"Daughters of the Dust" tells the story of a family of African-Americans who have lived for many years on a Southern offshore island, and of how they come together one day in 1902 to celebrate their ancestors before some of them leave for the North. The film is narrated by an unborn child, and ancestors already dead also seem to be as present as the living.。该剧讲述了一个生活在北京四合院里的重组家庭，一家人为能给奶奶一个幸福的晚年生活，编织了一个善意而凄美的谎言，从而引发一系列啼笑皆非的故事。。该剧改编自周良货原作，梦野一子作画，1993年至1997年在《MORNING》杂志连载的漫画作品，时隔20年改编真人日剧。真木阳子在剧中饰演主人公原岛浩美，在都市银行工作，总是把顾客放在第一位，作为管理人员努力推进工作。。
