有一个“美国黑人魔法协会”(The American Society of Magical Negroes)，致力于让白人生活得更舒适，因为“白人活得不好，之后会有坏事发生在我们黑人身上”。一个年轻男子加入后，开始学习用魔法来执行任务，让白人开心。而有一天他遇上一个女子，因此对自己的工作和整个逻辑产生了怀疑……。Howard Tyler (Frank Lovejoy) is a family man, living in California, who can't seem to get by financially. He meets up with a small-time, but charismatic, hood Jerry Slocum (Lloyd Bridges). Soon, Slocum convinces Tyler to participate in gas station robberies to get by. Later, they kidnap a wealthy man in hopes of getting a huge ransom. Things go wrong when the man is murdered by...。
