The plot involves a woman who sets out a well-intentioned plan of bringing together her dysfunctional family in the wake of the family’s matriarch, her mother-in-law. She deceives her husband and others in to believe their mother left rules for the family to follow in the lead up to Christmas. Wanting to believe their mother left some guidance to help heal the wounds of her abs...。张明亮准备婚房，搬东西的时候把墙磕破了，露出一个小洞，这个洞在与妻子白静结婚以后修补了多次但还是无济于事，也就渐渐被忽略了。后来这个洞跟随着他们从两口子变成幸福的三口之家、从贫穷到富有生活的起伏变化，后来也陪伴着不同租客的来来走走。它就像一个镜头记录着多个家庭的悲欢离合，或幸福或辛酸。张明亮、白静从新婚到离婚，墙上的洞从未真正“愈合”过，它静静待在墙上守着住在这里的人，默默观察着他们的生活，仿佛用自己的“残缺”来提醒这房子里的每一个人应该如何去面对生活、面对家人、爱人、孩子……。
